PP quick connectors include equal diameter tees, reducing tees, flanges, joints, elbows, ball valves, etc.
PP quick connectors usually adopt plug-in or ferrule connection. The plug-in quick connector is to directly insert the pipe into the corresponding interface of the connector, and achieve sealing and fixing through the built-in seal and locking device; the ferrule quick connector is to tighten the ferrule to make the ferrule hold the pipe tightly to achieve the purpose of sealing and connection. Generally, a sealing ring made of rubber or other elastic materials is installed at the interface of the joint. When the pipe is inserted or the ferrule is tightened, the sealing ring will be squeezed, thus forming a tight seal between the pipe and the joint to prevent fluid leakage.
When the PP quick connector is connected to the pipe, the pipe is inserted into the corresponding interface of the quick connector. The insertion force will deform the sealing ring, fill the gap between the pipe and the joint, and achieve a preliminary seal. For the ferrule-type quick connector, tightening the ferrule will further compress the sealing ring, enhance the sealing effect, and firmly connect the pipe to the joint through the friction between the ferrule and the pipe and the clamping force of the sealing ring. When disconnection is required, for some plug-in quick connectors, it may be necessary to press a specific unlocking button or operate the unlocking device to loosen the locking mechanism and then pull out the pipe; for the ferrule-type quick connector, it is necessary to loosen the ferrule and then pull out the pipe.
